Band to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Drums, Saxophone, Keyboard.ABOUT
I'm an experienced guitar player and singer, looking to complete a new band of good players, for blues-based classic rock, and psychedelic soul, centered around music of The Heartbreakers. I need a good and available drummer, first and foremost, to be my Steve Ferrone. And a keyboard player to be my Benmont Tench. I can get the bass player and maybe a second guitarist to fill out the band. In a typical 30-song gig, I would play and sing about 10 songs by The Heartbreakers, Mudcrutch or The Traveling Wilbury's, and another 20 songs by other bands and artists like CCR, The Stones, The Beatles, The Who, Steve Miller Band, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Traffic, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Joe Jackson, Bob Marley, The Doobie Bros, The Police, Santana, and others. I even have a name for this band: KING's HIGHWAY (a reference to a Tom Petty song of the same name, and also the local name for Route-1 between Fairfield and Bridgeport). I am a competent front man, but not arrogant or a show-off, and now that I'm fully retired it's time for a new band. Looking for good players who want to have a good time, and who love this music. EQUIPMENT
Telecaster and Stratocaster, running thru either a Fender Blues Jr or Princeton amplifier. I have a Tama drumset also, with Zildian cymbals, a powered PA for vocals, and an Alvarez acoustic/electric guitar.
