ABOUT

I'm a 35 year old professional Software Engineer by day, and by night I've always enjoyed time on stage. From Improv Comedy, to karaoke, to open mics I'm always happier being what the crowd watches, than being in the crowd itself. Primarily a vocalist and blues/bluegrass harmonica player (since age 3), I also play accoustic/rhythm guitar, and dabble in piano and trumpet. Recently my professional life has lost the travel component so I'm finally available to have a regular nighttime schedule locally.

Influences

My father was a harmonica/spoons player in a jug band in college and taught me to play bluegrass and blues harmonica at a very young age. I've always said that's my roots and am most comfortable in the blues world. I liken my play style very much to Magic Dick of the J. Geils Band, but having a strong improvisational ear I pride myself on being able to sit in with any song on the spot.
