B) Our Band "Taliesin" is now seeking to add a musician with backing and/or lead vocalist ability,
We are a 5 piece group of experienced performers consisting of a female lead vocalist, Drummer/percussionist, Lead guitar player, Bass player, and a female Hammond organ, piano, and synth keyboard player who sings excellent backup.
We seeking to add a musician who can do backup vocals and possibly sing some lead as well.
Instruments can be guitar, keyboards, flute, violin, cello, etc…
We want to be able to play club gigs, parties and events, so we plan to assemble a list of good mainstream stuff. Some classic rock and all the way to some current rock type stuff. Then we want to reach into the fringes and do some heavier rock and symphonic rock, and other rock also.
It would be a dual path of sorts. Mainstream music for the usual gigs and then work on the other aspects of the music we like and want to do to put together an act and show featuring the more theatrical music and market it separately.
We are looking for some one who can help us put the finishing touch on our plan to put something together with stellar vocals and music, but also fun and unique for around here. Something special. We are open to ideas and song selection. It's sort of an adventure with real interesting possibilities.
We will be doing some great classic rock, rock, etc., some newer known music, and some more interesting and unique music like the rock side of Blackmore's Night, some Symphonic/Celtic style metal/rock, and some other selective styles as well.
The main thing is, whatever we do has to be done well, and be agreeable to all members. No egos, etc here. We have been at this too long for the petty stuff.
We also use pro-level sound (and lights/effects, when we can fit them) when we play out.
We have a nice place to play, PA and all the gear needed.
Email me if you are interested.
You can call me at 860 818 0358 if you are very interested.
A) Also I am a Drummer and Percussionist seeking opportunities. The music samples I added are just examples I had. I am into many kinds of music.
Feel free to call me if you wish.
B) Some of our influences in particular: 60s, 70s and 80s rock, and some newer select rock as well. Also, Rainbow, Blackmore's Night, DIO, Within Temptation, Kamelot, Epica, Xandria, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Adele, Stones, Neil Young, Deep Purple, Bonnie Raitt, Alanis Morissette, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Jefferson Airplane and Grace Slick, Black Crowes, etc. Also some select Celtic Rock, and a little more.
A) As a drummer and/or percussionists only, my personal music influences are most of the above, all Rock n Roll, Classic Rock, Soul, Funk, Motown, Classical Rock, a bit of upbeat Jazz, some Blues from the soul and rock side, some newer country and Rock in general.
For the band: We have nice rehearsal space and all gear needed.
A) For Drums, Cymbals and Percussion Used, it depends on the type of gig and music. For Drums: Slingerland, Pearl, Tama, Gretsch, Premier, Spaun, and Fibes. For Cymbals: Paiste, Zildjian, Ufip, and Meinl. For Percussion: Toca and LP.
FYI: 8 Miles High played on vintage 1968 Slingerland blue psychedelic satin swirl kit, with vintage 60s and early 70s Zildjian cymbals. Cinnamon Girl played on Gretsch Red Glass Glitter double-bass Catalina kit, with Paiste signature series ride,hi-hats, and vintage 60s and early 70s Zildjian cymbals. Oye Como Va played on Toca Congas and LP Timbales.
