so i'm a singer-songwriter. most of what i play personally tends to be acoustic or folk oriented like a good bit of Elliott Smith music--or cuter poppy stuff like some of what you'd hear from of Montreal or the Zombies. but i also have a ton of fun playing more altrock sort of things too sometimes.
as a guitarist, i've played for over a decade now apparently. i guess i've really developed into that hybrid fingerpicking school of playing; you can hear it in most of the stuff that i have up on the internet, covers and whatever. i do play a lot of electric too, these days; i'm still sort of sussing out what kind of sounds i want to have there, though.
i've also been a vocalist since i was a child; i was in an internationally touring choir when i was a little thing. i really like pretty Beatlesy harmonies and multitracked vocals that create a lot of texture. so far, i mostly stack my voice on my voice, so it'd be nice to hear a mix with someone else's voice too.
i kind of screw around on a lot of other instruments; bass, banjo, ukulele, piano, keys. i think i'm pretty decent at just sort of picking up a thing and playing, and i have a pretty good ear for figuring things out.
um. i play a lot. and i want to play a lot more.
