About

Hi fellow musicians, I am looking for a drummer, bassist & vocalist in/around the Columbus, OH area. Hard Rock / Metal / Stoner Rock is my passion. I am a Christian - faith in Jesus is a must. I am not an overbearing zealot, but your faith must be important to you. I don't drink/drug, and expect the same of you. I'm not some stiff-necked shirt. I love to laugh and goof as much as the next knucklehead musician! We don't need no stinking hallucinogens to have a good time!

-For the vocalist, I have a PA all you have to do is bring a mic
The ideal vocalist would be able to SING & SCREAM/GROWL. I do not want any emo singing that is quite popular in "metal" today. That's not my view of metal - a strong singing voice as well as being able to "cookie it up" is preferred . I want a versatile vocalist, not a one-trick-pony. If you can pull off vocals similar to Jason Wisdom from Becoming the Archetype + Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter, you're on the right track. Your singing voice would have a gritty edge to it, not necessarily a pristine pretty vocal attack. Listen to anything from Becoming the Archetype (http://www.myspace.com/becomingthearchetype) to get an idea of what I'm talking about. For "clean" vocals listen to the following Demon Hunter song, "Collapsing" (http://www.myspace.com/demonhunter). The song "Collapsing" also features Bjorn "Speed" Strid from Soilwork (another good point of reference). Pay special attention the vocal attack in the verses.

-For the bassist, I have an Ampeg 8x10 cab you can use & abuse, a Carvin BX1200 amp, & Ibanex SR505 5 string bass
The ideal bass player would be able to attack his instrument, jive w/ the drums, and just plain dominate, crush, and own the bottom-end.

-Drummer, I have a PDP kit, with trash can cymbals, so it's best you bring your own. Double-bass is a must.
