ABOUT
Currently I play electric bass with 11 Ton, a groovey rock outfit that plays mostly original music and select covers with improvisations. I used to play with SICMaN of VA, and before that I spent a lot of years playing classic rock hits.
I also write and record my own original music in my bedroom studio. Some of my work can be found at: ./johnlitz
I'm not looking to join a band per se, but I am interested in meeting like-minded individuals to share some ideas and collaborate, and maybe get some side-projects together.
On acoustic, I think it would be cool to play the upright in a setting that isn't jazz, folk, or bluegrass, although elements of these styles are cool. Groove-oriented acoustic rock and some freaky Tom Waits type sounds are more my speed.
On electric, I've been really getting into using effects as of late. I think it would be interesting to meet a solid versatile musical drummer to jam with a la Instant Death or Wartime. Some freaky dub-like electronic sounds would be fun to create too.
