I'm a local guitarist that plays every Friday night at Bellflower Calvary Celebrate Recovery. We are a full band that plays for a great Ministry where people are overcoming their addictions. We play typical Contemporary Christian music. It's a steady ministry (about 3 years now). We're all long time players , working family people. The band is a blast. About 150 people a week, free dinner. Wed nite rehersal and Friday gig. 4-5 songs and a message. 7-8 pm. Free dinner before we play. We're almost always looking for new musicians to rotate or have available. Please feel free to call John @ 562 843-8501 anytime if you have an interest in this ministry.
Grew up listening to all rock from Beatles, Hendrix, Deep Purple, Zepplin, Jeff Beck on into later years of Soundgarden, Pearl Jam,
Whoever sounded good. Later got more involved with The Improved Christian Genre....Lincoln Brewster (my favorite), Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Delirious, David Crowder, Jesus Culture, Hillsong.....and more.
We have all our own equipment. Bassist needs small amp only or can play direct into the house with 15" personal monitor. My guitars are Fender American Deluxe Fat Strat, Taylor and Ovation Acoustics, My prize is a Suhr Custom Modern. Play through Axe-Fx Ultra processor into 50 watt tube active monitor wedge (Atomic Reactor). Other guitarist has too much stuff to list.
Members Of Band
