I am a strong, melodic singer. Although drums was the first instrument I learned (leading to tuned percussion, baritone horn and flute, over the years) I have gotten hired more often as a singer.
I have done Progressive rock (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Tull, early Genesis.)
AND I've done a lot of contemporary christian music- Steven Curtis Chapman, Phillips, Craig, and Dean, Brian Duncan type stuff.
In addition, I was in a three-piece wedding band. One played Guitar, all three sang - I split lead singing with a soprano, and I played congas, shakers, bells and chimes.
I would say I'm a cross between John Wetton, Billy Joel and Daryl Hall.
