I'm a mediocre guitarist, a half-assed drummer, an OK bass player and a subpar piano/keyboard player that can also play a little mandolin. Meaning my mandolin experience is limited, not that I play a small mandolin--though they are relatively small aren't they? Anyway, I play for my ears and fun so my musical paintings don't necessarily come out "pro" sounding or even ok sounding to anyone but me or the easily impressed. It's kind of like when I take a huge dump and the turd is perfectly formed and delicately sprinkled with undigested corn. To me it's a pretty neat thing, but to others it may just be a pile of sh*t.

Influences:

Too much to list. Seriously, I listen to a wiiide range of music. One minute it's Slayer the next it's Alison Krauss. Except any and all rap/hip-hop and most country from the past 25+ years or so.

Equipment List:

A bunch of cheap-o crap, by most standards, that gets me by. Several electric guitars, a few acoustics, a few bass guitars, cheapie keyboard, etc. I converted my acoustic drumset into electronic using a Roland td-6 module, because it's 1) Easier to record, and 2) Won't piss the new neighbors off. Pretty easy to convert them too, stuffing the shells with a used foam mattress. I have actually had my old pubic hairs work their way out of the foam and through the snare's mesh head. Cool, huh? Not the most natural sounding thing, especially the cymbals, but in the future I may start micing real ones. I record using a Tascam DP-01 and then attempt to mix it using Guitar Tracks Pro. Which may account for how bad some of my songs sound. Well, that and my sloppy playing.
