About

I guess I would describe myself as a "freelance musician" looking to be apart of some kind of metal group. But I would say my strongest point would be my mixing abilities.

Voice - I'm still a beginner when it comes to singing, but with practice I can hold my own. My range is A1-F4 in my chest and middle voice. With head voice and falsetto I can reach A5. I've also recently been learning and practicing the falsetto screams from 80's metal bands.
However, I'm much more experienced with harsh vocals (i.e. screaming and growling). The power and volume I get from them is a little lacking, but my range in styles and sounds is pretty varied. Ideally, I could match any style or sound your band needs. I'm definitely comfortable to real low growls and gurgles (like Big Chocolate, but not as good, of course). And at one point I was getting close to being able to do the banshee wails that Dani does in Cradle of Filth. Sadly, they're very hard and I haven't practiced them (or been able to) in a long time.

Guitar - Very much a beginner. I only know two complete songs: The Gears by Dethklok and More Than Conquerors by Impending Doom. I can't do lead parts, but I can definitely do rhythm guitar parts if they aren't too hard or complex.

Violin - I took two years of violin many years ago. I haven't picked one up in a while, but I could relearn it fairly quickly (a couple of days) if needed.

Influences

Almost all my influences are in some way shape or form related to metal. Right now, my main influences are Ensiferum, Luca Turilli, Wintersun, Hour of Penance, Dethklok, Sunless Rise, and Impending Doom. Though I enjoy any other style of metal as well as many other styles of music. Actually, there's really no style of music I don't like, just the bands. Though I do have trouble with emo music. I don't hate it, just...not my favorite.
