Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
Mature male bass player, 50 yoa (but looks much younger), seeking rock cover band. I have pro gear, reliable transportation, and a very upbeat & positive attitude. I have a repertoire of 50+ rock songs from the 60's & 70's, through modern tunes. Zeppelin, Sabbath, Hendrix, Beatles, Cars, Idol, Priest, VH, Greenday, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Alice n Chains, and more. In my youth I was in a few moderately successful local bands. Marriage, a career, and raising a family all took priority so I gave up playing. I picked the bass up 3 years ago and fell in love all over again!! For the past 3 years I've been playing bass in a gigging NNJ rock cover band. Recent personnel changes spelled the end to our successful run.
My ideal situation would be to find an existing group to join but I'm not afraid of joining a concept. In my opinion, in putting together a band, chemistry is every bit as important as skill.
I have a career, so I'm not looking to "strike it rich" but, II am looking to regular practices and gig once a month or more, if possible.
I'm in central Bergen County but will travel a bit for the right situation.
