ABOUT

I was a very active member of a few local bands in the early to mid 1990's. I’ve played straight rock, alternative (when that meant something a little different), punk and all sorts of hybrid mixtures of sounds, but life, and jobs and family became priorities for quite some time. A very rare story right? I've always dabbled, written and recorded, at least for the last 16 years or so. I'm now 44 years old, I have a decent sized studio for live jamming and a separate room for production, as well as a vocal booth and some equipment: PA, mic stands, mics (I will purchase more mics if a band comes together), recording equipment and software. I a lot of material that I want to finish and arrange.

I can play the guitar and bass to the extent that I need to chord out my compositions. I've noodled out guitar leads on lot of my songs, but I consider a lot of what I've done as placeholders up until this point. My lack of playing ability has kept me from fully developing these into the songs I want to write. I am looking for people, (or maybe just one person to start), to collaborate with. I have about 21 songs that are well formed, and there are untold numbers song parts we can draw from as well.

Even though I have material that I want to complete, I'm excited and willing to work on material that you bring to the table as well. I’m looking for an equitable collaboration. Your priorities are important as well. I'm a decent signer with, what I would consider a unique high baritone voice. I can see playing out at some point, but that's looking further ahead than I'm at. My priorities are putting together some original songs that we can be proud of.

My songwriting, playing, singing...etc, styles defy my own categorizations. I’ve tried, and I'm not good at figuring out what I sound like. The best way to see if there's a good vibe, and whether we want to work together, is to connect. Lets meet for coffee somewhere and play our songs for each other.

Talent is great, I appreciate it, but that's not the quality I'm interested it. I think good songs can be made with three chords and some guts. I really am looking for someone who wants to create, has a vision, loves music and is a good person. I'm not interested in forming a cover band. I'll play covers live, but they have to be something we do because we love to play. I can practice most nights of the week, and I bring absolutely no drama, to this. Drama and infighting is the last thing I want at this point in my life. So, if you’re ego-driven, you have stars in your eyes, or you really need to have the final say in everything, then I’m not the person you want to work with. If you’re creative, collaborative, love music, and are looking for a new project, we should talk.
