I primarily play swing mandolin, hot rhythm and lead. Primarily songs from the Great American Songbook. Think Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, and that sort. Think Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, George and Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Hoagie Carmichael, Johnnie Mercer. I also play gypsy swing (think Django Reinhardt), western swing (think Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys), bossa nova, and choro. But I'm also open to big band jazz (but not contemporary jazz or funk), blues, country, folk, classic rock (with my five string Fender mandolin), etc. I'm happy to back up soloists, too.

EQUIPMENT
Primarily a great Collings acoustic. Several electric mandolins when volume is needed.
Also dobro, mandola, tenor banjo, etc.
