J.Stoops lost our bass player about a month ago to other things, but we want to keep the train rolling.
We have a show case in Nashville Nov 8 in front of some Industry Reps.
We have clubs in Milwaukee/Chicago we can play at as soon as we get a bass player.
We had radio airplay in Texas.
-Someone who LOVES to practice and play
-Someone who is commited to the band ( we know things come up, and we work around schedules )
-DEFINITELY NO DRUGS OR DRUNKS ( ZERO TOLERANCE )
-Someone who can put input into songs and writing without being an ass about it, we are adults and CAN take positive criticism
-NO solo bass players, meaning: someone that can compliment the band rather than lead it with solos!
-Someone that is willing to help the band in any way, for instance: putting up money for things, practicing on there own time, ANY THING that can benefit the band
-Personality: easy-going, dedicated, hard-working, not a drama queen....etc....
-Preferably between the ages of 21 and 30ish...(but open)
This is not a hobby for us. We want to make being a musician a full-time career! This is not a 'practice 4 times a month, play twice'!! We play mostly originals, with some covers!
Please take a look at our sonicbids.com account for audio samples! www.sonicbids.com/jstoops
If you fit the build and like what you hear, please email me!!!
J.Stoops has funk like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, catchy hooks, lyrics with the style of rhymes and rhythmic syncopation, pop undertones like John Mayer and the energy of Dave Matthews Band. Unique but familiar.
All Pro Gear. We have our own PA System. We have our own practice space.
Members Of Band
Currently 3 a bass player will make it 4. Keyboard with backing vocals would make it 5
We can't find a descent jazz/funk/rock bass player in Milwaukee to help round out our commercial sound. Most bass players in Milwaukee just do Metal. Heavy Metal, Speed Metal......you get the point!!
So now we are looking towards Madison area. 1 hour from the Capitol to our practice space.
We are willing to pay for your gas. Dedication is a must!!
