First off I just created this account so I will add some of my music shortly, now. I'm a songwriter, right now I only own 2 acoustic guitars and a small amp. I used to own $1000s of dollars worth of electronic equipment, but during hard times had to sell it all. Was in a hard rock/ punk band from 15-20. We broke apart due to creative differences. I'm into making a kind of experimental, folk/bluesy, electronic punk sound. Something different than anything you hear in music right now. I want the music to be catchy but different/experimental and avant garde. I have a lot of ideas, I Just need other musicians that can get into what I'm trying to do. I think it should be fun and playful but also seeing it as expanding on what skills we already have to just make killer new music that will blow people's minds. I don't nessessArily need professionals just decent musicians with an ear for music, that aren't afraid of playing music a little different from what most people would expect Around this area.Also I want to play our own music. Limited to Zero covers. Like minded people always play better together, and often it shows through the music, so the more odd and eccentric you are.. :) the more it'll add to the sound I'm aiming for. After my last band split, it's just been me. Honing my skills while deciding what genre of music I would get the most satisfaction from playing.
I have a few friends a play with from time to time but no one permanent, as I'm looking for the right combo that meshes perfectly, molding into something new and innovative (somewhat, I don't mean to sound pretentious).
I currently need-
Drummer.
Keyboard/synth electronic equipment.
And lastly an extra guitarist to make things easier/sound better.
I'm also open to other/odd instruments, since the music will be an avant garde experiment. We will have trial and error until we find out what works.
EQUIPMENT
I have one acoustic and one acoustic electric.
Once I have the money I plan on obtaining a new electric guitar,amp, pedals and some synth/ electronic equipment, including a keyboard.
I also am in need of a new PA, because mine was stolen..
Basically starting fresh. But if I know I have a reason to buy it all and have new mates that enjoy what we're doing then it won't be hard at all to get up what I need.
