LAST UPDATED 11.3.09 Got something going as of right now. Thanks.
Sorry, this is way too long but I have to keep adding things to save us time in the long run. I have limited time for music, it has to sound good and be fun to be worth it. I've tried to be very honest in my description of what I'm looking for, to the point of sounding like a jerk. Thanks.
Front man available for the right cover project. I prefer modern rock but will do some classic / party rock. If your just doing the older standards you don't need me, any singer can do those songs justice. If you like to mix older and newer more challenging popular songs I'm interested. I don't need to play out every weekend, one to four gigs a month , only Saturday gigs at this time due to work. No drama, drugs or heavy drinkers. Please no tribute bands, no offense, I'm just not into them. I'm looking for a cover band that doesn't have to rehearse every week to be good. If you can't learn the parts on your own time I'm not interested. This is a part time hobby for me but I won't half ass anything. I'll show up on time and know all my sh*t 100%. At this time I'm only available weekends for limited rehersals when needed ( about two hours ). At this point I'm not looking to hump much gear so if your looking for a roadie / frontman I'm not into that. I have my own lights and PA but only occasionally use some of my stuff. Usually I only bring my mic, stand, and a cable to a gig and thats the way I like it. I like to sound good and have fun but I'd also like to make about $80 to $100 a gig. I don't like to deal with managers, booking agents, or bar ownwers. I like to show up, do my thing and not worry about the buisness end of things. There should be someone in your band that already handles that stuff. Don't worry about the fact that I'm 44, I take very good care of myself and try to stay up on current styles. Your band should also be presentable, a band that looks and sounds good attracts more fans. I'm willing to travel outside the Buffalo area ( under two hours ) for the right gig.
Please remember if your checking out singers they're checking you out also, so have all your stuff together. If you know what I'm talking about we'll get along fine. If you think I sound like a dick, we're not on the same page and would be wasting each others time. All the audio I have up here is from the 80's, all the videos are newer and reflect the kind of sound I'm into now. You can see more of my vids at youtube.com/kdrvfr
All pics are recent ( I change my hair often ).
OK, hope I covered it all this time. Thanks for your time.
P.S.- I've seen some ads looking for people who are "team players" and that have "no egos" and "no Rock Star additudes". To me a person who shows up on time, knows all the material, and BRINGS IT everytime IS a team player. As far as ego goes, I'm an old dude doing covers, my ego went away in the 90's along with my thick hair and flat stomach. I had the full blow Rock Star additude in the 80's when I was young and dumb. Now I'm just a normal guy with no additude, who likes to sing and wants everybody in the band to sound good. If further proof of my lack of ego is needed, check out my youtube. In most of the vids I'm torn apart by the comments. I agree with some of them, I wouldn't have twenty years ago. Thanks.
