I've been playing guitar and writing song lyrics since 1978. I've jammed with friends and a couple bands over the years, both here and back home in Milwaukee.
I recently made the switch to bass guitar and love it. With my background in guitar, it hasn't taken long at all to be band/stage ready.(I'll let you be the judge) I was already coming up with my own bass riffs and learning covers the same day I bought my bass.
I had injured a tendon in my left index finger before ever picking up a guitar. I had to develop my own guitar playing style over the years because of this. I'm finding that that style is perfect for playing bass. Don't know why I didn't try the bass sooner.
I mostly enjoy playing heavier, slightly darker driving Rock N Roll. I listen to hard rock, blues, southern rock, classic rock, metal, and even some country & bluegrass...depends on my mood & who I'm hanging with.

Influences:

Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robin Trower, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, RUSH & The Eagles.

Equipment List:

Ibanez Roadstar II Bass, Custom Fender Squier Strat, Alvarez Acoustic/electric, & a Sigma 12 string, & an
Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412 half stack, Fender Princeton 112+ amp, and a Backline 110 bass 70w amp.
Effects include a DigiTech BP200 Bass Processor. For guitar I have an Ibanez Tube Screamer & an old FL9 flanger, a Crybaby Wah.
