I am a 49 year young Male. 6ft 2in tall. SEEKING WORK, and/or a working band with members of the same age bracket-preferably. Went from being a long hair to NO hair. Hey, it happens!Works for me tho. Great stage presence. Been doing this most of my life. I love it!! Main instrument is Guitar, and can do some lead vocals along with some bass guitar if needed. Backing vocals no-prob. FYI...I did ALL the guitar(s)work on all songs on this BandMix profile. Currently working with Trust-the band on a P/T basis, as well as other projects including worship leadership as bassist for my home church and other church events as a guitarist/vocalist.. Having a blast but I am seeking a full time position. Most everyone knows me as Kenny-(Guitar)-James Gohn. I'm Ready to Work! More recently opened for Dick Dale. My preference is to join a working blues band, but I'm open. I have played in the Christian music arena for the last 15 years as well. Don't do the drug scene. Move on if YOU do. Was really raised in the Classic rock era. Did-em all. Can do-em all. Not really into the new rap stuff. I can do it if it involves some GOOD words and some rocking sounds that weren't conceived out of something from a synthesized music machine or a hot rodded I-pod.

Influences:

Stevie ray Vaughn, Brian May, John Fogerty, Alman Bros, Dicky Betts, Mark Antuon, Dennis akajanian, Kenny Wayne Shepard... The list goes on and on and on.... From Country to Classical. From folk to Jazz. My favorite alternate guitar finger picker is Lindsay Buckingham(of Fleetwood Mac). From old blues to new.From Nostalgia 50's and 60's to Classic rock to freeform.
When I was a kid my biggest influence was BB King, Albert King. Shuggy Otis, Beatles. Thats a long list there.... Richie Blackmore, John Fogerty, and later Eric Johnson, David Gilmour, and Joe Satriani . But, in the beginning- ultimately John Fogerty and CCR were why I started a band. Band-wise I was always into the rythmic styles of alot af Solid tight rock bands.(EG:Deep Purple, Styx,Tom Petty, etc.) and country rock bands.(EG Allman Bros Band, Lynard Skynard,Etc.)Big Eagles, and Don Henley fan because of their musicianship. I play all forms of Guitar. From 12 string to Classical, and from Acoustic to the Strat, and my baby Les Paul. Just love a good 12 bar blues these days. Played heavy metal and hard rock for years. I am a Christian man and also play the Christian circuit. So, the influences are pretty wide.

I mainly play an American fat strat, or my 75 delux LP. Classical guitar is a C132-CS Takamini, and 12 string is an FP 400S Takamini. Acoustic guitars I stick with Takamini, or Taylor. Amp wise I have scaled down. I go with the tubes. Peavey Classic 50 watt 2x12. All external effects as well. I have a line 6 flextone 100 watt 2x12 stereo amp which is good for home studio work, but a bit too digital sounding for stage work.
