About

Kerry “2 Smooth” Marshall was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He moved to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 11 and quickly became known as “Birmingham’s Finest”. Influenced by such artists as Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Keith Williams, D’Angelo, and Willie Marsh, I've been perfecting his craft for 15 years. I have been featured in a number of groups and with a number of artists, including: Dwele,El Debarge Jr., 5th Element, Logan, Young Vokalz, Precision, Soul Theraphy, On Purpose, Prodigy, Jonathon Nelson (of Jonathon Nelson and Purpose), Mose Stovall and the Pharsyde Band, Theo Soul and 2nd Nature, Jona Crooner and Sebastian Kole. Kerry also opened for Mint Condition, Noel Gourdin, Monica,and Raheem Devaughn. I also plays for one of the largest churches in Birmingham, Alabama, The Worship Center Christian Church, where he has played for gospel heavyweights and icons, including: Dr. Jamal Bryant, Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer, Bishop Noel Jones, and Bishop T.D. Jakes. Kerry has traveled all over the Southeast, Germany, France and Italy sharing his gift with the world.
