Enjoy the authentic acoustic music from this long time traveling musician from Colorado's front range. Kevin Dooley is a songwriter with numerous CD's and compilation efforts in his musical career. He's played large venues and main stage's such as the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Telluride Blues Festival, Memphis in May, Fort Collins Celtic Fest, Paonia Roots Fest and The Colorado Irish Festival. Kevin is a past winner of the Crossroads Acoustic Blues Award at The Telluride Blues Festival. He was also selected to play a prestigious "main showcase" at The SWRFA Conference in Austin, Texas. Closing the festivities on Friday night on beautiful Lake Travis.

Kevin plays intimate venues, coffee houses, house concerts, clubs and festivals all across the country, and many an Irish pub, as well. As a "working musician" he has played just about every Colorado ski town. His latest recordings are done in the comfort of his home studio. Kevin may be compared with such contemporary artists as Van Morrison, John Hiatt, JJ Cale, Richard Thompson, James Taylor, Keb Mo, Greg Brown and David Bromberg. Over the years, Kevin has opened shows for ledgends like Leon Russell and Bo Diddley, and contemporary's like: Chris Smither, Catie Curtis, LJ Booth, John Smith, Amilia Spicer, Brooks Williams, and Susan McKeown and Chanting House.

He has shared festival stages with Nanci Griffith, Marc Cohn, Los Lobos, John Gorka, Hot Tuna, Jim Hurst & Missy Raines, The North Mississippi All Stars, PineTop Perkins, Jorma and more. Kevin had a song chosen for the first Colorado Blues Society compilation disc. On the "Best of Boulder" list, and has been the "acoustic road warrior" for many years, out on the singer-songwriter, blues/folk club circut. Kevin also has played nearly every ski area in Colorado, at one time or another. He was invited to be on the teaching staff at The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival "Song School" for several years.

Kevin helped to develop The Boulder Acoustic Newsletter, for artists and venues. Has conducted teaching clinic's on everything from songwriting to sound reinforcement for local and national organizations. He has hosted numerous "songwriter in the round" nights. First at Woodsongs Music in Boulder,where he did shows with locals like Tim O'Brien, the subdudes, Windmachine, Left Hand String Band (aka Leftover Salmon), Laughing Hands, Chris Daniels, Chuck Pyle, Liz Barnez, Maggie Simpson, Julie Hoest, Ben Stevens & Washboard Chaz, Marty Peters, Colcannon and other great Colorado artists.

Over the years Kevin has hosted many great writer's and musician's at monthly shows at H.B.Woodsongs, The Rock N Soul Cafe in Boulder, The Bader House in Niwot & Nissi's in Lafayette. Kevin has worked with writers including John Smith, Dana Cooper, LJ Booth, Celeste Krenz, Jon Vesner, Reed Foehl, Michael Lille, The Winston's,Scott Von, Vicky Taylor, John William Davis, Dr. Banjo Pete Wernick, Beth Leachman, The Elktones,Scott & Michelle Dalziel, Pete Wernick, Liz Barnez, Dave Johnson (Yonder Mtn. String Band), Steve Mullins, Lee Trees, Todd Adelman, Patty Greer, Dan Oakenhead, Christian Glover,Scott Powell, Mark Oblinger, Sean Kelly, Chris Engleman, Kelly Buchannan, Angie Stevens. Kevin plays for the love of singing songs, and by working hard at it, makes enough money to pay the bills. In addition to live performance he teachs both guitar and song writing and does performance workshops and also has a small "demo" studio. In addition to concert and club gigs, and weather permitting, Kevin has been "busking" and doing regular stints "street singing"on The Pearl St Mall in Boulder.
