ABOUT

Hey guys my name's Erik. I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years and took a music theory class for 2 years. I'm better than any of my other peers since all they play are power chords over and over. I'm looking to get into a rock band. If I join or start one, I'm looking to be in a band that stretches from classic and hard rock to some metal. No emo or screamo. I play lead guitar and almost everything I do on guitar is create solos and improvise. I know pentatonic, phyrigian, minor, harmonic minor, major, and locryan modes and scales. I can create rythem, but I'm much better at soloing. I know a variety of chords and I like to use them. I usually don't work well with musicians who want to play JUST power chords or JUST strum the sh*t out of the E string. I 'm ok for doing it cuz yeah it sounds cool, but if thats ALL you wanna do.... it gets really boring after a while. My favorite tuning is regular EADGBE since I find its the easiest to solo in. I can do drop D and drop C and other tunings, but once again I like EADGBE way better. If I do get into a band that I like, I'm very dedicated and will do my best to help the band get as far as it can and beyond.

Influences

Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Godsmack, Rush, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, The Scorpians, Van Halen, and other classic rock bands. I listen to other bands, but I'm not so much influenced by them.

EQUIPMENT

ESP LTD AX-250
Line 6 Spider II 15 watt amp with effects
Morely Bad Horsie wah pedal

I'm hoping to get more equipment when I get in a band. Until then I really don't have the room to keep a 400 watt amp I'll never use. lol. I'm looking to get another guitar and a bigger amp and speakers when I need them.
