Hey, my name is Kathy, but I go by Kitty... (Please, don't call me Kathy! :s)

I have been singing my whole life, pretty much. When I was about 5-6, it just clicked with me and I knew it's what I wanted ever since. I know I am not the first person to say that... But as I have grown older and grown more passionate for my art, I did whatever I could to hone my talent and make it the best I could.

I have no "formal training." I was not very fortunate in my circumstances growing up. But it has made me want to work that much harder to develop myself.

I sang in choir from elementary-high school. I have a little experience with performing on a stage and in front of people, if it counts towards anything. You don't have to worry about me and stage fright too much, if anything, I don't want to get off the stage once I really get started... I just love the feeling of getting lost in the music... ahhhhh.... ^_^

I am a soprano. I can sing alto as well (as if that's really hard! lol). I can sing different vocal styles from classical (kinda like opera, but not so obnoxious as some of it ha ha), to modern. I love to rawk!! lol

Unfortunately, I only have a small knowledge of written music composition which I have learned since I have been going to college, and I am willing to learn more. I also plan to learn piano if it becomes an option for me.

I do write poetry/lyrics, so I will be able to contribute something more than just my voice, if you would like.

I don't get a lot of practice at this time, cause I live with my sick grandmother who can only tolerate so much noise, otherwise I wish I could practice daily.

It also says I am available days, but I am available just about whenever if you really need me at the moment. Same goes for gigs. When anything comes up that I must do, of course I will let you know!

Influences:

(Note that these are influential to what kind of music I want in my band, my writing, and just music I like in general. Of course, I think a band should have its own unique original sound, but they always have their influences from which they evolve. ;P)

Evanescence.... Amy Lee is my favorite female vocalist, hands down! She is my biggest inspiration of all. Within Temptation, AFI, Metallica (the old stuff, I hate to say it but their new album I find a total disappointment), Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy ("Fat of the Land" was their best album, in my opinion... I just love its edgy sound!), Papa Roach, 3 Days Grace, Disturbed, Mozart, and more!

My voice, my brain (duh! lol), I used to have a guitar, but it had gotten broken and after I got it fixed, it would not stay tuned at all... D: I am not a very good guitarist anyways, I guess. :(
