About
I'm Gerry "Krash" Campbell, guitarist currently living just outside of Nashville, TN. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician and composer. I began playing guitar at age 7. Although I play acoustic and rythym guitar, I consider myself a bass guitarist. I am a member of ASCAP, TAXI, the SGA and the NASI. I have extensive experience in touring, management, promotion, song writing and creative writing. I spent several years touring with "Krash and the Doctor Bills" playing as many as 300 nights per year. I took a long layoff from music due to shattering my left arm and severing the radial nerve. Interested in meeting other like-minded individuals who take their music seriously but not themselves too seriously. I spend a lot of time in the studio, but I'm looking to form a band (not my band, or your band but our band) willing to do their own music along with some creative covers. I'm growing tired of writing for other people, movies, tv shows, commercials and video games. I want to get back to playing again. I sometimes cannot contact you through Bandmix. Please contact me at webwezel @ gmail. com or call 615-684-4058.
Influences
I grew up playing bluegrass and rockabilly as a child. Into rock with a commercial appeal. Also interested in melodic acoustic music and hard-hitting ballads. Not tied down by one genre. I've been influenced by the music, playing styles or writing styles of artists such as Jeff Beck, Muddy Waters, Ritchie Blackmore, Hank Williams Sr., Queen, Mountain, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, The Offspring, Green Day, ZZ Top, Kid Rock, Black Eyed Peas, Johann Sebastian Bach and so on. I've only been influenced but never tried to copy anyone.
