About

Juilliard-trained, experienced mezzo soprano. I have been performing since I was a young child and was on Broadway, did a few voice overs/commercials and felt comfortable in a recording studio by the age of 9. My background is extensive. I was the leader of a successful seven-piece band that played all over the tri-state area for 8 years. More recently, I won on a NY radio show contest and recorded and co-wrote dance/club music that was shopped in the UK. I worked with Jive on a crossover/country music project a couple of years ago and recorded 4 originals and was flown to Nashville. Singing country was new to me, but I acquired a genuine respect and love for it. I can sing any genre of music and do it well. Not bragging. Just the way my voice works. I have always been a lead singer due to the strength/depth of my voice, professional background and presence. Being in front of an audience is like breathing to me. I am looking to work with an established, seasoned band that gigs 4-6 times a month. In addition, I am interested in doing studio work. I am responsible, dedicated and I have no time for BS. Influences

R&B, Motown, Dance/Electronica, Pop, Blues, Rock - I had many influences in my life including my Mom who was a pop singer in the late 50's-60's. Raised in a family that listened mainly to Motown and R&B - Chaka, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Donna Summer, Dionne Warwick, Roberta Flack, Nat King Cole, Jackson 5, The Stylistics, Diana Ross, Streisand, Stephanie Mills, Pat Benatar, Melba Moore, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Teena Marie, Gladys Knight, Melissa Manchester, Streisand, Linda Eder, Anita Baker, Bonnie Raitt...So many.. The list goes on and on..And....I can sing any pop song today ranging from Mariah, Christina, the Pussycat Dolls to Evanescence's, Amy Lee even to a country song by Carrie Underwood.
