I am a female vocalist looking to start up a band. let me also mention that these demos are 7 yrs old and I don't even think they sound like me anymore! My goal is to have a demo cd and be gigging by summertime, preferably around the Fayetteville-Tulsa areas. My experience includes being a part of a couple different bands, one sharing lead vocals, one as a backup. In 2000 I represented the state of Oklahoma in a National Karaoke contest held in Nashville, TN. While this was karaoke, it was still a large ordeal (all expenses paid) and honor to represent my home state, and did require stage presence. I have a strong, sultry voice and a passion for country music. I have the desire and commitment to make the band a success but need others with the same interest. That seems to be the biggest problem because most musicians want to walk right in to a band already performing and don't want to devote the time to building one. Must be professional. Influences:

While I sing primarily country, I'd like to reach all audiences by including some pop and rock songs into the gig. My influences include: Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood, Dixie Chicks, Sara Evans, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, and Pink (to name a few).

Equipment List:

I have my own microphone and amp as well as an acoustic guitar although I'm personally not that great at playing myself.
