ABOUT

Currently bored blues/rock guitarist looking to have a good time in a band. Am looking for anything from casual to medium commitment. Any commitment that will take away from my work or college I will have to turn down.

Classical piano background with a large understanding and application of music theory.

Guitar enthusiast with experience modifying instruments. (currently working on a 100-year old cabinet grand piano). Modifying and collecting strange instruments is a great hobby of mine. Will do setups and adjustments on band equipment if desired.

Instruments: Mostly electric and acoustic guitar, with piano and electric bass following. Can quickly learn a harmonica part if needed, and could most likely hold my own with a drum kit if it were needed.

Influences

Influences range from ancient blues dudes to modern rock, with mainly just an affinity for great guitar and in general great instrumentation. Anything with a good soundscape is what I will put in my ears.

EQUIPMENT

RIGS:
I have capable live rigs for electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and keyboard. Guitar rig is most capable - I can arrange it in multiple different sizes and configurations with backups and spares ready to go. Bass rig is DI via XLR. I also have a good mic stand and some cheap cardioid microphones if the occasion arises, but by no means do I consider them a great vocal rig.

GUITARS:
I own 13 guitars: 10 6-string electrics of varying pickup combos and wiring setups, 1 doubleneck 12-string/6-string, 1 5-string bass with active pickups, and 1 7-string acoustic with Fishman electronics.
I love my guitars and each one tends to be unique or recognizable in some way.

AMPLIFIERS:
Main guitar amp is a Fender Mustang IV, which is a 2X12 solid state modeling amplifier. I also own some smaller practice amplifiers and a Peavey Max 112 bass amp.

EFFECTS: My electric guitar effects rig can go through a few configurations. I have a smaller pedalboard with a distortion, delay, tuner, wah, A/B box, and a looper pedal. I also have a talkbox, a larger multi-effects board, and I can do a huge number of effects through my modeling amp, which has built-in presets and USB connection to my computer.

OTHER EQUIPMENT AND NOTES:
I also own a lower-end keyboard that I use mostly for practice, but can be rigged for live events. I own 2 low-end vocal mics that are also generally used for practices, and I own a good boom stand in case I need to use them for a gig. I've got an electric violin (which I might learn to play eventually) and a couple of harmonicas as well.
I also have all the cables, accessories, stands, cases, etc to facilitate my equipment in different rigs, and I have a car with plenty of cargo room to lug it all around.
