ABOUT

35+ year drummer looking to start/join a band that's fun but also takes itself seriously enough to be proud of the results. Looking for band mates that aren't afraid to put in a little work to produce good music worth listening to, but can also have a lot of fun while doing so.

In general, I prefer to play for the song, rather than overplay and detract from it. After all, it's about the music - not *my* ego.

I'm interested in any/all of the following types of Cover and/or Original projects:

Classic/Alternative/Indy Rock - Oldies to Current:
Open to covering everything from Elvis, Buddy Holly and Motown to 70's/80's Hard rock, 90's Grunge and current stuff like Neon Trees and American Authors - pretty much if it rocks or grooves and the audience won't sit still - I'm in.

Celtic - Open to projects ranging from "Irish Trad" to "Celtic Rock" and everything in between. Ideal for this would cover both ends of the spectrum and everything in between (Clancy Brothers, Natalie McMaster, Enter the Haggis, etc).

Influences

My influences are pretty broad and varied, spanning multiple genre's and tend to focus more on how something was done or played rather than trying to emulate a particular drummer's playing style.
