Born into a family of talented musicians and songwriters, Wendy naturally fell under the spell of music and performing. As a child, she spent most of her time with a tape recorder trying to imitate her favorite singers, and ear training herself to peck out familiar melodies on the piano. At age 13 she joined her first rock band and began performing songs from some of her favorite artists including Pat Benetar, Ozzy, and Iron Maiden. She later continued her musical education at UNO studying classical voice and keyboard, and later graduated from Music Tech in Minneapolis, MN. In her years as a performer, Wendy has fronted local bands Damsels in Disgrace and Terra X, but is best known for 11 years as lead vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter of Mazefate. Her accomplishments with Mazefate include recording 2 full length cd’s of original music and performing them in various clubs around the Midwest region, as well as opening for national rockers, Warrant. At the present time, Wendy continues writing with Mazefate, and rocking local stages as lead vocalist and keyboardist of rock cover band Phantazm.
