Believe it or not, I have done orginal material for so long, that I don't have much cover material right now.
I might enjoy doing doing a little of that in the right situation. UPDATE OCT 2009: I'm starting to learn & re-learn some cover tunes

I'd like to find a good singer who can write lyrics as well as another guitar player. I'm open to taking the rhythm parts or switching between rhythm / lead.

My tunes range from melodic progressive rock to some of the chunka metal, again with my own style. I was trained classically, and learned to rock totally by ear and sweat, and playing the records til they turned WHITE...!!! LOL

Influences:

From the 1st & greatest generation of Rock & Blues Music ---- Zepp, Doors, Deep Purple, Sabbath, Scorpions, Yes, SRV, JohnnyWinter, Albert Collins, Robert Lockwood jr, Luther Alison, Clapton, JohnLee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Nugent..
Rush, Hendrix & Page, JBeck, Frank Marino, Pat Travers, Tommy Bolin, Blackmore, REO, Thin Lizzy, Priest, ( From the classical guitar world: The Maestro Segovia, his #1 protege Manual Tomas, composers F.Sor,Villa-Lobos, Almeida, JS Bach, Scarlatti & more)

From the 80s, GnR, Motley, QueensRyche, Tesla, Triumph, Styx, REO RRhoads, Eric Johnson,

Also dug Soundgarden, and a little Alice in Chains, Definitely enjoyed early Friedman/Becker and a bunch of the Shrapnel dudes.

I really don't get into some the modern sh*t... I think it's called screamo.. not into slayer or bands of that ilk.
I can respect and listen to some of this, but its not really my thing; I wouldnt enjoy playing it.

the late 60's and 70's bands mostly and some 80s too
