About

<< BACKGROUND >>
We're four mid-50's musicians who had a really good band in high school (Santana, Grand Funk, etc.) that haven't played together since. Found one another on facebook and decided to have a "reunion" to play and record a dozen or so tunes. Our vocalist can't make it so we need someone who (1) sings well enough and willing learn the tunes we have in mind; and (2) wants to have some fun and help make our reunion enjoyable and memorable. If you're a great singer but haven't recorded before, here's your chance! We could also probably use a couple of background singers (see the possible songs below), so please respond if that interests you.

<< WHEN >>
Haven't chosen a date yet; late October or sometime in November 2010 is looking good. Most likely on a Saturday. We'll practice in the early afternoon; and come back after dinner to record.

<< WHERE >>
Lyric Studio (Garden City Park, Long Island NY)

<< PAYING HOW MUCH? >>
Nothin<g>. We provide the equipment and studio; you provide the vocals simply because you love to sing.

<< THE TUNES >>
Set list is still TBD, possibilities include:

o Black Magic Woman, Soul Sacrifice, Persuasion (Santana)
o Mean Mistreater, Aimless Lady, Heartbreaker (Grand Funk)
o Brand New Angel (Govt Mule)
o Just Got Paid (Joe Bonamassa version)
o Sloe Gin " " "
o Mustang Sally (Rascals live 2008 version)
o Hush (Deep Purple)
o Lazy " "
o Soul Man (whatever version ;-)
o Whipping Post, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed (Allman Bros)
o Don't Worry Baby (Billy Joel's version of the Beach Boys classic)
o Whiter Shade Of Pale (Procol Harum)
o The Fire Down Below (Bob Seger)
-- We've just started listing the songs to consider, so your own suggestions are welcomed!
