ABOUT

I am a classically trained singer with a four-octave range, sang opera for 13 years in the Denver Metropolitan area. I was honored to have been chosen by renown Conductor Antonia Barico to perform with the Metropolitan State College Philharmonic Ensemble, was a classical pianist for 18 years and performed in religious venues and concert halls. By age 13 I was the organ accompanist and assistant choir director for a Presbyterian church well known for their annual Christmas performance of Handel's Messiah, and Verdi Requiems.
My father, James Turner, a well-known jazz pianist who toured with Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff and many others in the 40s and 50s, was my inspiration and mentor from age 3.
I am a songwriter, arranger, vocal coach and have co-arranged songs with my husband, Hilliard "Hillstreet" Wilson. I performed with big band great Joe Vento who used to accompany Harry James, Billy Eckstein, Jack Jones and many others on the USO Tours. I, including Hillstreet joined a 10 piece progressive rock band called Gerard, were signed to Epic Records and recorded albums at Caribou Ranch in Nederland, CO, under the iconic Grammy Award winning producer Jimmy Guercio. Jimmy Guercio produced legends like Chicago, The Buckinghams and Blood Sweat & Tears in the mid 1960s and was a staff producer at Columbia Records.
