ABOUT

Okay, truth is, I'm a lyricist. I have some lyrics other have said are good and should be in the studio. Problem is, I can't read, write or play. Oh, I can plunk around 'til I find the notes of songs I know, but to technically PLAY...
Some of my lyrics I have melodies, or working melodies for (I CAN do that much) most are fair game for anyone interested in trying to be a Lennon to my McCartney. If anyone would be interested in collaborating, drop me a line. lancekirtley

Influences

Obviously the Beatles. But I'm an across the board kind of guy. I have folders marked "McCartneyesque", "Lennonistic", "Harrisong", "Country" (which is where I have my "Ringo" song), Some lyrics are meant for a blues melody, one's a Beach Boys type, while another is a folk piece, a la Melanie. I have a couple praise/Gospel pieces...

EQUIPMENT

The music, hopefully I uploaded it right, to my profile was a folk thing I wrote for a project I'm working on and I call it the Mystic Angels Project. The song is "On Losing Imagination". It's a folk duo over in England performing. The first lyric I wrote was back in 1999. Long story. But I've had people waiting since then to hear it. I finally found the guys that could do it. This is a video of Blue Water Highway doing my song "I Put a Bar in my Car (And Drove Myself to Drink). Sorry, this one needs to be copy and pasted to get to it.
