I grew up in the Washington DC area. I have been playing guitar and singing for over a quarter of a century yikes!), with little formal training which included a semester in junior high school and by high school was asked by the music teacher/director to assist as an aid in his guitar class. Down the road a few years later I also enlisted the help of a GIT graduate around 1990 or so to help me move things along, later leading to a short stint along side my instructor in his band several years down the road.

People ask me all the time whether I am a "lead" or "rhythm" player and I like to answer that I am both, as both are equally important. In my most previous band "Archer", I was the sole guitarist which allowed me a lot of freedom, but also carried a lot of responsibility. To date, I've had the opportunity to work with many of the Mid-Atlantic's finest musicians and bands, however most of my time has been spent playing in one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier regional acts Archer. I gained most of my touring experience in Archer playing clubs from Northern Pennsylvania down to North Carolina and beyond. Throughout the 90's, I performed at a countless number of venues, and have shared the stage with numerous established national acts including Kansas, .38 Special, Firehouse, Tyketto, Survivor, White Trash, Dr. Hook, and Foghat. I've also had the pleasure of attending and performing at the SXSW Music and Media Conference in what was destined to be my future home of Austin, TX, Philidelphia Music Conference, as well as the Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans, LA. I have met many folks in my travels, some famous and some not so famous. This extensive amount of experience has taught me quite a lot, and helped me earn an endorsement with DR Strings at one time, as well as recognition under the "Best Guitarist in the Mid-Atlantic" category in the Music Monthly Magazine Annual Readers Poll on several occasions. My playing style has been best described in several music publications as "bluesy" and "from the hip".
