Last Nickel is a country band, mixing the classic sound of the two-stepping country songs with many of the great pop country songs. The band’s home base is the Fort Worth area. Last Nickel is presently rehearsing, creating a great edgy country sound, with plans to begin gigging by November, 2008. This is a new band but it's being managed professionally, with pro musicians and equipment, and will afford some great rewards for it's members.

Last Nickel presently has its lead male and female vocal, keyboard player, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, and drummer in place. The band is presently seeking another female vocalist who can do back up harmonies and play rhythm guitar. This person will also have the opportunity to front some songs vocally as well.

Last Nickel is doing songs with male and female vocal fronts and has tight vocal harmonies. The band will be doing some original songs and covering songs by artists such as George Strait, Brooks And Dunn, George Ducas, Steve Wariner, Vince Gill, Bryan White, Neal McCoy, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rick Trevino, Scotty Emerick, Alan Jackson, Jack Ingram, The Mavericks, Dwight Yoakum, Charlie Robinson, Jennifer Hanson, Lori Morgan, Shelby Lynne, Lee Ann Womack, Heather Myles, Dixie Chicks, Wynonna Judd, Martina McBride, Pam Tillis, Jo Dee Messina and others . . .

Last Nickel does not play the “Texas” style, or often called “Red Dirt” country music. It does not play the redneck country music, or the outlaw music style of the old Waylon and Willie days. Last Nickel is not a "party mix" band that plays multiple genres . . . it is a country band.

Last Nickel will be playing clubs in the Dallas / Fort Worth area with its goals being set on corporate and other private parties. Present plans are to play approximately three gigs per month. Rehearsals will be once per week with that number possibly decreasing once the band is completely familiar with all of its song set library and gigging regularly.

Please note: No drugs allowed . . . but a few beers or mixed drinks is quite alright if a band member chooses. Respect, consideration and kindness towards fellow band members and a great attitude will be as important as good musicianship in this band.
