Latifu is a gifted, trained vocal stylist who performs jazz, classical, and popular music. He developed his versatile vocal style while performing at his alma mater with the Oberlin College Choir, as well as in pop and jazz dinner theater settings. Adept at working as part of a choir, small chamber group, or as a soloist, Latifu is available to perform in wedding ceremonies, fund raisers, funerals, and other special events. Latifu has performed with the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale, The River City Brass Band, The Ben E. Benack Band, The Harold Betters Quartet, The San Damiano Consort, and others.

I've been influenced by a pretty wide array of great musicians from Arthur Prysock and Billy Eckstine to Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis, Luther Vandross, Mario Lanza, Luciano Pavrotti, Andrea Bocelli. The Spinners, Loreena McKennitt, Bruce Hornsby, Gordon Lightfoot, Clannad, Caprecaille, Nightnoise, Celine Dion, Diana Krall, The Eagles, Pat Metheny, McCoy Tyner... the list goes on.

My favorite music genres are Classical, Jazz, Celtic, R&B, Classic Rock, New Age.
