I've only been in one band and got my first taste of performing two years ago. While playing with some friends, was invited to play a few gigs around Fairbanks and Delta. Success got to the other guys heads and we haven't played for two years now. I'm tired of waiting and would like to find others who LOVE to perform for people, NOT with the goal of becoming rock stars. Have to pay your dues right? So about me, I'm 27 have won 5 first place and one second place (sophmore mistake) Karaoke contests around Fairbanks, singing everything from Country to rock. Even dressed up as Elvis and sang in front of a crowd of 500+ on a Carnival Cruise, and got a standing ovation. I enjoy singing anything that I can. Most nights you'll see me at the Silver Spur just picking songs at random. I did play the Bass in the band but only simple bass lines. Currently learning guitar, unless I can find a guitarist then I'm gonna focus on the fiddle. If you're interested in just playing around Fairbanks or even the state this summer let me know. Influences
It only let me pick three types of music, but I sing anything and everything. Bluegrass, jazz, metal... The only thing I'm not really good at is Rapping and Reggae. I can sing really fast, just don't have that "thing" that is needed though. But hey, practice makes perfect right?
