About
Leo Key has been touring actively for the past two
decades throughout the U.S. and Japan. Based in Los
Angeles, CA. for 28 years, he has an up close and
personal view of the music industry in all aspects.
Long before moving to Los Angeles, CA. Leo began a
journey into what would become a lifelong love of music.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he grew up surrounded
by all forms of Gospel, R&B, Christian and Rock music.
Leo is an accomplished guitarist with a five-octave voice
range who has worked with Motown Records, MCA
Records, Death Row Records, Ray Chu of Saturday
Night at the Apollo, Earth Wind & Fire, Chuck Rainey,
George Clinton, The Patrice Rushen Band, Cedric Martin
of Confunkshun, The Commodores and Louis Johnson
of The Brothers Johnson. He also has an amazing track
record of experience in studios (i.e Sky Sound Studio,Tokyo,Japan
Sunset Gower Studios, Hollywood,CA., Future Sound Studios San Diego,CA,.Oh
Henry Sound Studios, Burbank, CA) and stage production. Leo spent
the past year performing with his band and as a solo
artist at colleges, festivals, clubs and coffee houses. His
debut CD titled Leo Key Unlocked captures the essence
of his musical roots. This fiery guitarist/vocalist leaves
no stones unturned with his amazing musical
arrangements and a fantastic vocal range that will
simply astound you.
