My voice has elements of Anita Baker, Roberta Flack, Cher, Linda Ronstadt, Enya, and Oleta Adams. It's big and warm, with whispers and shouts, with lots of colors and contours, cracks and crevices. I try to put the message before the mechanics. As a songwriter as well as a singer, I make sure the words are heard. I like when the songs sing me, like the wind singing the pine trees at night. I'm really trying to fill up this space so I look like the serious singer/songwriter that I am, but it's hard because the font size is so small and they've left a lot of gray space to fill.
