John Pettley Jr.-Lead Guitar, Lead vocals
John Pettley was born and raised in Tooele, Utah, but his guitar has taken him to the hottest music venues in the country. John's passion for music goes back to his earliest memories as a little kid watching his dad and other family members playing music at family get togethers at his grandparents' house. John did not start playing guitar until age 14 when he struck a deal with his father about a certain Creedence Clearwater song . His father said he would give John his 1971 Les Paul if he learned how to play all the guitar parts on Creedence's song(I Put A Spell On You). John quickly mastered the song and got his prize. That was all it took to put a spell on John. He joined his first short lived band at the age of 15 which never got off the ground. John got his first taste of the stage in the Dallas/Fort Worth Honky Tonk scene at the age of 23. John started playing the big stages of Texas and opening for acts such as Toby keith, Rascal Flatts ,Blake Shelton and many others. John moved back to Utah after a couple years in Texas and has been playing all over the state since. Bands John has played in include Desert Road(with his father), SR-36(his first time fronting a band), Roughwater ,and Hammer Down, before starting Amarillo Highway.
John's biggest influences are John Fogerty, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pete Anderson, Reggie Young, and Waylon.. But John's father is the biggest influence of all and the reason he plays music.
