My style has shades of funk, metal,pschadelic rock, blues, reggae and classical, but is very much my own. I've had a few lessons but mostly learned by ear on my own. I can write leads but can't really play them off the cuff; I prefer a song that's well written over one with a lot of flashy solos. Any type of ensemble is fair game ( horns a plus)as long as it's got some type of rhythm. I'm big on rhythm--odd time signatures, time changes, etc. I want to start a band that breaks the mold, defies description. I think if the music is original and comes from the heart the money will follow. Right now what i'm interested in is studio work (unless somebody has a PA) cause I had to hawk my amp in order to get back to austin but once I get some funds I'd like to get a new one and play some gigs. email me aaron_bennack@
