WORSHIP PERCUSSIONIST: )Hey! My name's John, or Elijah : ) I play hand/auxilery percussion and drum kit. I am deffinately a Christian musician, and very creative, whether it be worship or rock or whatever. I can probably find some instrument and some rhythm to play to any genra of music, bluegrass may be an exception, lol, just kidding, but I'd rather not play it : ) I'm really interesting in that I can jump/mix right in with a person/band with no practise usually. It's really cool, God has blessed me. I've played 'officially' for 5 + yrs, closer to 6 or more, I haven't kept a specific record, lol. I grew up listening to really good Christian rock bands, and I grew up picking out and trying to imitate sounds that stuck out, and drums was one of those sounds for me. And the church scene I've grown up with has been very passionate, with many proffecianal musicians. Not your average 'churchy' music if you know what I mean. I've also ended up having many musicly talented friends that I like jamming with when I get the chance. I've played with many different worship teams, in different churches, with different individuals, and been on many gigs to church related conferances and such, in parks, different towns, etc. I also like going out to the park by myself and just playing the djembe. I get lots of comments and such. I truelly believe that God plays through me much of the time and He has even taught me many of the rhythms and techniques that I use today.
