Vocalist - General.
About
I'm starting late, but I've had the desire to play since I made a drum pad in 4th grade. There's a story to that.
I like straight ahead classic rock, I'm not into darkness. There's enough of that and I'd rather see people happy and dancing.
Right now I'm in a fledgling band. The guitar player has 30 years of playing under his belt and he's good. The rest are novices, but we're building. We NEED a singer!!!
Songs we're playing are simple enough.
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Summertime Blues
Pretty Woman
The Breakup Song
Summer of 69
Howlin' For You
Going Up The Country
Sweet Home Alabama
Already Gone
Runaway
Simple Man
Boney Moronie
Sweet Jane
Louisianna Blues
Johnny Be Good
Rockin' Daddy
Last Time
Down By The Water
and more
Leave me a number if you're interested.
Influences
Ginger Baker and Mitch Mitchell. I like their musicality and ability to interpret on their drums. I don't play like that, but I admire what they did. I know their are more drummers I'm not aware of than I'm aware of, but they caught my ear back in '67.
Equipment List
I have what I call a jalopy drum set, but I do have a set! Snare, mid tom, floor tom, bass, hi hat, crash, ride, and most importantly a throne! I've been piecing the set together since I began lessons. My next concern is new skins and the process of getting closer to a sound I like.
I now have a better set and things are looking up!
