I was a constant player in my earlier years. I got married and played some in church then... I haven't been able to play out for a few years. I am now back on track. I can put aside once a week to practice and maybe play 2 weekends a month.
I place my family first and have a grand daughter in gymnastics. I try to make every meet I can that she participates in. This can be a hinderence in a schedule if your main way of making money is through getting gigs.
I play bass secondary. It's not my main instrument, so I spend little on equipment.
I listen to so much variety; Larry Carlton, George Benson, Ronny Jordon, Norman Brown, DC Talk, News Boys, Kirk Franklin, EWF, TOP, Santana, Herb Ellis, Crusaders, Spyro Gyra, Rippingtons, Marcus Miller, Tal Wilkenfeld, Stanley Clarke, Jeff Berlin, Abe Laborial, Vital Information, Joe Satriani, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather, Lee Ritenour, etc;
2 modified strats; Gibson HR jazz Fusion, Ibanez EW Acoustic and Classical.
Roland Cube 80, Pedal Train. Distortions, chorus, flange, phasor,wha, delay;
Squire P-bass and Fender Rumble 15.
