I've been playing guitar on and off since I was 16 years old, I am now 29, I learned on my own and mostly all I've ever played was stuff I wrote, also improvisation, haven't done many covers. I always liked playing weird progressive stuff, since at the time i did not have access to Internet at all, all i had was my ears and imagination to learn along with a metranome (my foot) I didnt even know progressive rock/metal was a thing. I was influenced by a friend who played classical guitar, the beautiful sound captured me and I became determined to learn. I learned on a classical guitar and composed ny own classical style songs which were influenced by music found in video games published by square enix, a big influence for me was also the soundtrack for castlevania: symphony of the night. When I was 18 I picked up my first electric guitar, a 7 string, when i performed for my friends, they were always impressed, they told me they have never heard anything like it. Now I don't have the same ambitions as I did when I was younger, and no longer have the time to spend 8 hours in my room to dedicate for practice, but if I find talented musicians with great imagination and ambitious towards creating unique and intricate music, I feel that it would spark, and conjure that latent, great musician within me.
