About

i've been playing guitar since high school, off and on. more off than on. i feel i should be a lot better than i am but i just play what i can and do my best. i've been jamming with some friends for the past few years on the weekends. they live far away and i'm looking for something more local. i live in west l.a. and i'm looking for anyone to jam with. i take music seriously but with fun. lots of fun. i'm not looking to be in control and tell people what to play. i like to let people express themselves the best way they know how. i just want to play stuff that is fun to play and stuff that i want to listen to.

Influences

i love most genres but what comes out of me mostly is bluesy rock. i love a good riff and i'm a sucker for a good hook. i love 60s and 70s hard rock and i love metal but don't play it very much. i can solo a little bit and all my solos sound pretty much the same, but i have fun doing it. i just wanna play rock n roll, the kind that makes you wanna do the horizontal dance and annoy the squares, and the parents, and anyone else that gets on my nerves. some of my favorite players are, motorhead, jimi hendrix, jimmy page, david gilmour, beatles, david bowie, the doors, peter green, frank zappa, angus young, billy gibbons, lightnin hopkins, muddy waters, richie blackmore, steve vai, joe satriani, slayer, iron maiden, judas priest, unsane, cro-mags, sub humans, the exploited, bad religion, the sword, high on fire, wino, black sabbath, venom, old scorps, uli jon roth, michael schenker, jeff beck, mahavishnu john mclaughlin, bach, beethoven, vivaldi, mozart, george carlin. a bunch of stuff my friend has. lots of other stuff and lots of stuff that i haven't even heard yet. all kinds of good stuff. i love stuff.

Equipment List

right now i have a line 6 head with a mesa 2x12 cab. my main guitar is one that i built with parts from warmoth. strat body with a mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard and emg's. i want to build more. i have ideas. distortion and wah pedal and that's pretty much it. i want to keep my rig simple. i'd like to get a nice tube head one of these days. marshall or a budda. i wouldn't mind a bassman or an old hiwatt.
