I've played bass in groups ranging from "Show band" caliber at large functions (Broadmoor, Conventions, etc) to jazz to general rock and "Bar" type bands. I have a master's degree in music, I teach for a living, I'm very serious about individual practice, group rehearsal and show quality. I can play pretty much any style, although I won't brag up my "speed metal" chops. I've played more songs and more gigs than I can count. I'm most comfortable in a band that's used to putting together at least 6 new songs per month. I don't like stagnation or falling into the rut of playing the same stupid sets over and over, then wondering why the crowd goes away after a couple of months.
I've done studio work, and I have a small setup of my own. I really enjoy recording when there's good material.

I learned to play with the radio during the 80's. I like classic rock, well played country, jazz, and funky stuff. Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Kai Eckhart, Flea, Ron Carter, Jaco, Stanley Clarke, James Jamerson, the list goes on and on.
Fretted and fretless bass, amplifiers to choose from, p.a. with monitors, small home studio setup with accessories. Electric and acoustic guitars.
