I've been playing pretty much all of my life, and enjoy a broad range of music. A lot of the music that I'm drawn to these days would fall into the ambiguous “world" category. I like to play music with a lot of color, texture and dynamic range. And I like to do it with people who listen to, and play off of, each other. Creativity and good intent are essential.
Gigs and / or jams could be of interest, but good people and music are the most important considerations.
Play from the heart, in the moment ...
No angry music.

A wide range of genres and flavors.
There's an "ingredients list" for the drumkit in the picture at musicalpeace.com. Naturally, I continue to add to it, and the list is just of the things that were in the kit when the picture was taken. The snare that I'm using now is an ash 7"x14" DDrum Dominion. When I play out, I usually play a djembe. With its broad tonal and dynamic range, it's an incredibly versatile instrument. If it's approached as a complete instrument (not as just a three-tone monotonator,) it can fit comfortably in nearly any musical situation. And after years of totin' drumkits, it sure is nice to be able to put your instrument in a bag, throw it over your shoulder, and even have both hands free... a drummer’s dream come true.
