Looking for players interested in an acoustic-blues project, playing for fun, and a few gigs. If you have seen/heard Springsteen's album/DVD "Live in Dublin" that is close to the spirit of what I have in mind. Good players having a great time - fun. A lead guitarist with slide ability would be a dream, another vocalist to harmonize and share tunes with would be great as well as Harp player, clarinet, sax, bass, percussionist, small trap set, piano... its all good.
I have been playing for years, made my living as a musician thru my 20's. Have played just a bit here and there since, and am getting more active now that I have the time. I have strong vocals, guitar is my main instrument, solid rhythm player with a bit of lead and a bit of slide, I also play some piano and begain music age 10 playing drums. Most proficient in the Acoustic-Blues genre, but can hadle a chunk of rhythm guitar and most vocals in a jazz genre, although I do not consider myself a serious player - my Dad was a jazz musician and I know the difference between doing a handful of tunes pretty well (which I can do) and holding my own with a trio for a full evening (which as a guitarist I can not do).
So that's me, who are you?
Many, many,
Phoebe Snow, Mose Allison, Keb Mo, BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Delbert McClinton, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Bonnie & Delaney, and others.
I also love Classic Jazz: Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Herb Ellis, Oscar Peterson, Diana Krall, and the like.
Also Motown, R&B, anything with a great groove (I am a drummer at heart).
Regal Dobro 1929, Martin o16 NY, Taylor 714CE
