About
Dedicated, experienced and passionate lyricist/singer in search of musicians who are willing to work hard, master their art, and keep pushing to create and preserve true-authentic music.
To me, music is all about loosening up and having fun, but at the same time there should be a proper balance with prosperity. Many have dreams and goals, but they don't want to put the time and work in to achieve them. I however, believe in working hard to earn something and not sitting around, expecting it to just happen.
I'm looking to join, or to start a band that's primarily rock based, but has elements of other genres as well (as opposed to limiting the music and being just another rock band). Also, I would like to do this full-time and eventually make a career out of it.
If I'm the singer/lyricist you might be looking for to start a group, or to join your group, you can e-mail me at blastmaster11 @ hotmail .com - I have a fairly flexible schedule so just let me know when you're available. Send me your number, or I'll send you mine, and we'll work a little meeting out. I believe a band has to have the perfect chemistry - so if things go well when we talk, we can go from there, and if the vibe isn't present, then we obviously won't. It never hurts to at least try :)
Influences
LYRICAL INFLUENCES: I like the many topics Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Jim Croce cover. I also like the way Rakim, and GZA carefully craft every line with proper format, figurative lanquage, interior and exterior rhyme schemes, consistancy, and overall dexterity.
VOCAL INFLUENCES: Jeff Buckley, Brandon Boyd, Stevie Wonder, Maynard James Keenan, Mike Patton, Roger Daltrey, and many more. I marked myself as a "Tenor" and "Baritone" vocalist for the instrument played section, but for the last two years I've been experimenting, and working with every male vocal range. All in all, I'm not as high as a tenor, but not as low as a baritone ... I'm right in between.
Here's a list of some artists I like (I'm sure I forgot some).
