Gigging Worship Band looking for musicians.
Style:
Modern Worship; tends to be extemporaneous (lots of ‘feel’/vamping)
We do lots of covers and lots of originals, too.
Some musical influences are:
Bethel Music / Ascend the Hill / Drive By Truckers / United Pursuit / Johnny Cash / Gaither Singers / Slayer :)
Basically, we do a lot of singable worship songs, but without a lot of polish. We don't use Click Tracks, and we write Chord Sheets. We vamp a lot, so we are and need musicians that are comfortable with extemporaneous playing.
We are primarily "presence driven". Meaning that we are basically "metal detectors" for the presence of the LORD. When we feel the flow, we tend to go a little nuts. In a good way (depending on your theology). We have a strong mix of originals and covers, and we are always looking for more.
We need these:
Electric Guitar - Lead
Electric Guitar - Harmonic
Electric Guitar - Rhythm
Bass
Drums
Please note that we have some of this already. We want to add people, and we are looking for skill, atmosphere, and passion. Plan on practice at least once per week.
